Bridle Track

This is a 3 km tramping track through native forest from Opouri Saddle down to Harvey Bay (Duncan Bay). You can mountain bike on Bridle Track.

From the Ferndale campsite there is a 15 minute loop track.

Mount Stokes Track

This tramping track in Kenepuru Sound follows a ridge to the summit (1203 m), the highest point in the Sounds.

Nydia Track, Marlborough Sounds

The 27-km Nydia Track in the Marlborough Sounds is an easy 2-day tramp. Plan on an overnight stop at Nydia Bay.

Pelorus Sound walking tracks

While you can only get to some Pelorus Sound walking tracks by boat, there is road access to Archers Track, which you can mountain bike.

The Pelorus Track in Mt Richmond Forest Park offers walkers 3-4 days of hard tramping through forest and along the river.

The Queen Charlotte Track offers a spectacular trip through the Marlborough Sounds, from the historic Ship Cove through to Anakiwa in the Grove Arm.

Visit historic mining sites on these Queen Charlotte Sound tramping tracks. The Cullen Creek/Waikakaho Walkway is open to mountain bikers.

From a 10 minute jaunt to a swimming beach to hour long round trips, the walking tracks of Queen Charlotte Sound give you a range of options.

This track takes you to a viewpoint over historic French Pass, where the tide rushes back and forth like a river.
