Children about to go snorkelling, Te Angiangi Marine Reserve
Protecting a typical piece of the Central Hawke's Bay coast, Te Angiangi Marine Reserve is home to the gold limpet, large beds of Neptune's necklace, pink coralline seaweed and eel grass.
At Te Angiangi Marine Reserve you can swim, snorkel, dive and boat. Or take time to explore the reserve's beach.
There is no camping or hut accommodation available at the marine reserve and camping is not permitted. There are local non-DOC campgrounds available for visitor use at Blackhead and Pourerere.
