Places to stay

A number of backcountry huts and campsites are available in the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park.

Hut tickets can be purchased from any DOC office or from local Visitor Information Centres in Matamata, Waihi, Paeroa, Katikati and Te Aroha. Tickets are also available from the Hunting & Fishing NZ store at Chapel Street, Tauranga, and from Camping and Outdoors, beside the Countdown Supermarket in Greerton.

Basic campsites are free of charge.
