Easily accessible campsite and picnic area next to the Whirinaki River. The forest includes rimu and totara trees. Fish for trout, swim in the river or hunt.

  • Wheelchair friendly site, including toilet and ramps over the river for fishing.
  • Recently completed shelter provides for all weather cooking.
  • Dogs permitted. Must be on leash at all times.
  • Access: 1 km gravel off Minginui Rd

Follow Tewhaiti Rd (formerly SH 38) from Murupara for 19 km. Turn off to camp is 5 km on right.
