Camping with dogs

Dogs can be taken into some forest parks. Where dogs are permitted please remember to always keep your dog on a lead, clean up after your dog as you would in any public place, and make sure your dog is under control at all times. Do not let your dog interfere with other visitors' enjoyment or cause harm in any way.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted in any national parks and many other types of reserve. Parks have been reserved to protect their flora and fauna and recreation values so it is important that the habitat of species whose survival is in danger is protected as much as possible.
