Hut is sole occupancy - bookings are essential.

Getting there
2 hours easy walk via the Orongorongo Track. Raukawa Lodge is on a river terrace 10 minutes walk down the Orongorongo River from the Turere Bridge. From the picnic area and toilet near the Turere bridge cross to the true left of the Orongorongo river following the markers. Walk downstream for about 250 metres, passing the Tararua Tramping Club hut on the way. Raukawa Lodge is marked with a large orange triangle and sign and can be seen in the bush from the river.
