Getting there

2 hours walk via the Orongorongo Track. Oaks hut lies in bush on the east side of the Orongorongo Valley, approximately 5 minutes from the Turere Bridge. Cross the Orongorongo River to Browns Stream, which is visible directly opposite the Turere Bridge. About 100 metres up Browns Stream (opposite Waerenga Hut) a large orange triangle marks the track start on the true right.
