  • Shared kitchen and living area

    The hut is locked and each of the four bunk rooms is sole occupancy - bookings are essential.

    You will receive intructions on getting the access code in your booking confirmation letter.

Getting there

2 hours walk via the Orongorongo Track. Follow the Big Bend Track from Turere Bridge for a further 1.2 km, for approx 30 minutes.

An alternative option is to walk up the river bed. This route involves multiple river crossings. Do not use it when the river is in flood or when there has been lots of rainfall in the area.
