Great trout fishing is available in Lake Tūtira , particularly in the lake’s northern reaches, with restocking taking place each year.
This area is alongside SH2, north of Napier.
Lake Tūtira was made a bird sanctuary in 1929 and today is protected as a wildlife refuge.
