Places to stay

There are 8 huts in the park; 4 along the Coast Track and 4 Inland. There are also 20 campsites with a water supply and toilets. All Coast Track huts and campsites must be booked all year round. Bookings can be made online or by post, fax, email, phone, or in person at some offices.

At Totaranui there is a campground with basic facilities; toilets and cold showers but no power. Bookings are required in summer. There is also an education centre accommodating 40.

Backpacker accommodation, motels and lodges are available in the towns near the park.

Totaranui campground

This is a standard campground in the Golden Bay area.

Anchorage Hut

This is a 24-bunk hut located on the Abel Tasman Coast Track in the Motueka area.

Awapoto Hut

This is a standard 12-bunk hut in the Golden Bay area.

Awaroa Hut

This is a 26-bunk hut located on the Abel Tasman Coast Track in the Golden Bay area.

Bark Bay Hut

This is a 34-bunk hut located on the Abel Tasman Coast Track in the Motueka area.

Castle Rock Hut

This is a standard 8-bunk hut in the Motueka area.

Wainui Hut

This is a standard 4-bunk hut in the Golden Bay area.

Whariwharangi Hut

This is a 20-bunk hut located on the Abel Tasman Coast Track in the Golden Bay area.
