The Wairarapa region encompasses the eastern parts of Rimutaka Forest Park and Tararua Forest Park, the south Wairarapa Coast from Mukamuka Stream on the edge of the Rimutaka Forest Park to Mataikona dunes on the eastern Wairarapa Coast, the Wairarapa plains, the Eastern Wairarapa hill country and the northern Wairarapa districts of Puketoi and Woodville.
