6 Weeks of Summer is an exciting event programme running out of the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre, 12 km from Thames in the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley. The valley is a unique part of the Coromandel Peninsula with an incredible history of logging, gold mining and spectacular scenery.
With nine campgrounds, two DOC huts, and two cottages available for visitors, the event programme provides families and individuals the opportunity to experience some unique conservation and recreational opportunities.
The Visitor Centre is architecturally designed and has a café running throughout the summer. On Saturday 14 January 2017, the centre will host a Community Day with live music playing throughout the afternoon. Bring your family or friends and enjoy this amazing slice of Coromandel paradise.
Events are free but bookings through the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre are essential.
Events are added as they become available.
