Frampton’s Hut is situated near the Six Foot Track in the western end of Waimā Forest.
Alternatively, you can reach the hut starting from the Hauturu Highpoint Track. Follow this to the Waimā Main Range Track before heading towards the Six Foot Track and hut.
The site is in a flat clearing on a broad ridge above Falls creek.
