Rodger Inlet Hut

Located in Fiordland National Park and Lake Monowai/Borland Road area in the Fiordland region

This is a standard six-bunk hut in southern Fiordland.

This six-bunk hut is located on the shores of Lake Monowai. Nearby is the Historic Rodger Inlet Hut.

Fees

  • Adult (18+ years): $15 per night
  • Youth (5–17 years): $7.50 per night
  • Child/Infant (0–4 years): free

Before you go, buy Hut Tickets for each night's stay. Put these in the honesty box at the hut. Or buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that gives unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 12 month period.

It can be accessed by boat or on foot via the Rodger Inlet Track.

Didymo is present in Lake Monowai, but is not currently in the pristine Borland Burn, Green Lake or Grebe River.

Visitors should take precautions to prevent the spread of didymo when swimming/fishing/boating/packrafting.

Do not take water from these areas.
