RUG - Recreation User Groups

RUG - which stands for Recreation User Groups - is a group of people specifically interested in keeping up-to-date with recreation on Canterbury public conservation lands.

Representatives from various clubs and groups meet three times a year with department staff to get updates on tracks, huts, and other facilities and to provide feedback. The clubs include tramping and walking groups, alpine clubs,some hunters, 4x4 drivers, and any other person that uses public conservation land for their recreation. All are welcome to attend.

Note: The front door of the office will be open from 7.20 pm. If you are late, the door will be checked occasionally until 7.45 pm.
