Godley Head Heritage Trust

The Godley Head Heritage Trust was formed by a broad spectrum of New Zealanders with a passion for the preservation of our heritage and a special interest in Godley Head, Christchurch.

Purpose

To preserve and restore the remaining WWII coastal battery installations at Godley Head and its related areas.

To research and provide historical data about the Godley Head site

To raise awareness and undertake educational activities at and about Godley Head

Join us

Take an active involvement in the preservation of New Zealand history by joining the Godley Head Heritage Trust.

  • Members can attend regular working bees to restore and preserve the existing installations.
  • Members undertake research and study into the history of Godley Head.
  • Members with specific skills and interests are encouraged to pursue them within the overall plan.
  • Members, their families and friends, meet for social events and the sharing of their interests.
  • Members receive a quarterly newsletter
