Athenree Saltmarsh is a natural treasure on the coast near Waihi Beach.
Be a part of this tremendous gift of land from a local farmer, being restored to natural habitat by the local community and DOC. Take part in working bees to help monitor bird life and control pests
The Athenree Saltmarsh restoration group has strong connections and is looking for motivated individuals to help take leadership roles, as well as casual volunteers to help get the work done.
