In this section:

These activities and templates have been designed to assist educators in introducing environmental education concepts both in and outside the classroom.

The concepts they address link to the various Super Sites for Education. They can be used on-site, before and/or after a visit. The Super Site resources also offer a wide range of information and activities.

Each activity looks at a different conservation concept such as the interrelatedness and management of ecosystems, forest structure, impacts of introduced species, human interaction with the environment and the different views and values within communities. Templates for reviewing your own environmental education programme and how to start thinking about an action-orientated approach to environmental education are also included.

All of the activities work within the key dimensions of environmental education: ‘In’, ‘About’ and ‘For’ the environment.
