Wiki Baker
Wiki Baker is of Ngāi Tahu descent with affiliation to the Arowhenua Runanga near Temuka.
She is a member of various community organisations including the South Canterbury Conservation Trust and Arowhenua Whanau Services Trust.
She is concerned with the social and educational development of Ngāi Tahu, with special interests in the protection and wise use of rivers, lakes and sea as these pertain to mahinga kai (traditional Maori food).
Wiki lives at Arowhenua and was a member of the original Aoraki Conservation Board, which combined with North Canterbury Conservation Board.
Term
Wiki is currently serving her fourth term on the Board, which expires in 2012.
Sub-committee interests
Wiki leads the Board's iwi liaison sub-committee. She also serves on the concessions sub-committee.
