Dr John Keoghan
Dr John Keoghan of Rolleston has a strong plant and agricultural science background with more than 35 years' experience working in research, development, teaching, training and team building both in New Zealand and overseas.
He is a former National Science Manager with AgResearch, a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Science and Chairman of the Canterbury Section of this Institute.
He has a genuine interest in the protection of New Zealand's natural heritage and a sound knowledge of environmental and conservation issues. He advises on native plant landscaping and restoration.
Term
John Keoghan is confirmed for a second term until 2012. He is the deputy chair of the board and leads the land sub-committee which deals with tenure review, weeds and pest issues.
