Whangarei area volunteers

When: Year Round

Where: Whangarei, Northland

Description: Volunteers are required all year to assist with conservation projects involving maintenance of recreation facilities - tracks, huts, campgrounds, historic assets and plant and animal pest control.

Fitness/Skills: High fitness level required due to the physical nature of the work and the terrain. Experience in practical/outdoor work and use of tools is required.

Accommodation: No accommodation is provided.

What to bring: Refer to equipment list (obtained from contact person – see below).

Food: Volunteers shall provide their own food.

Pickup: Arrive at Whangarei Area Office Whangarei (during office hours – 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday).

Bookings: Essential, due to limited space and seasonal popularity. Preferably at least 3 weeks in advance.
