Mimiwhangata Coastal Park volunteers

Date: Volunteers are required throughout the year to assist with a variety of tasks in support of the Park ranger. Length of stay variable but one week minimum. (Subject to accommodation being available).

Accommodation: Bunkhouse

Food: Volunteers provide their own. Ensure adequate supplies as there is some distance to shops

Transport: Can be arranged on registration

What to bring: Gear list 2. Torch, set of work clothes or overalls and work boots/sturdy footwear, camera, lots of enthusiasm, mask and snorkel plus fishing line if you like to dive and/or fish.

Task description: Mimiwhangata is a coastal park located 1 hour’s drive north of Whangarei and 1 hour south of Russell. Tasks are varied and include assisting with planting, plant releasing, fencing, garden maintenance, beach cleanup, track maintenance and habitat enhancement.

Bookings: Essential – preferably 4 weeks in advance.
