Summary

The environmental issues and recreation opportunities at Franz Josef present a range of learning experiences to achieve a range of curriculum objectives. At Franz Josef students can take walks through the glacier valley and observe features carved out by this giant sheet of ice.

This educational resource contains background information on the natural and human history of the glacier and suggestions for class and site-based activities. Getting there information is included and other things to take into consideration to help you plan your class trip.
