Discover Aoraki/Mackenzie with LEOTC

The Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mackenzie areas offer unique learning environments. To get the most out of their visit and learning opportunities, the majority of schools stay for 3-5 days.

We have many learning programmes designed to enhance school education visits.

How do I organise my LEOTC visit?

The LEOTC Educator is your one point of contact.

The LEOTC Educator will provide teachers with information and options about education programmes and activities provided by the local operators, and accommodation choices.

After consultation, the LEOTC Educator will provide you with a suggested plan designed to fit your learning requirements.

How can I begin to plan my school field trip?

Follow these two easy steps:

  1. See the flyers below for curriculum themes and select from the wide variety of programmes listed.
  2. Email our LEOTC Educator at vraybould@doc.govt.nz indicating the curriculum themes you are interested in covering or phone +64 3 435 1795

You will then be contacted to discuss your proposed visit and receive follow-up confirmation and a resource booklet.
