This 131-page education kit is a resource for teachers based on the Miranda Shorebird Centre and surrounding coastal wetlands, southeast of Auckland. It's designed for bulk photocopying use with a school teaching programme.

You can download the kit as a PDF below. Hard copies can be ordered from the Auckland Conservancy. See contact details below.

Every school may have one copy of each kit free and additional copies can be bought for $10 each.

Publication information

The Shorebird Education Kit was prepared for the Miranda Naturalist's Trust by Sue Reid and Keith Woodley, with a special supplement by John Walsby. Illustrations are by Keith Woodley. It was published by the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation.

First edition September 2001, updated June 2002 and November 2003.
