NZ Sculpture Onshore

Sculpture, 'Progressive Fern Jars', by Christine Hellyar, Fort Takapuna
Historic Reserve
Every two years Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve is transformed into a sculpture park, showcasing the work of leading New Zealand artists to raise funds to support women and children affected by family violence.
NZ Sculpture Onshore is organised by Friends of Women's Refuges. The last three shows have been held at Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve in Devonport. The next show is scheduled for 2012.
Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve became public conservation land in 2000 and is managed by the Department of Conservation. It forms a unique historic complex spanning coastal defence history through the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The neighbouring Fort Takapuna Recreation Reserve is managed by North Shore City Council.
