Conservation Week 2010 is about showing that you love New Zealand.

From 12-19 September DOC and TVNZ 6 will give you lots of chances to support and protect the things that make New Zealand, New Zealand.

DOC and TVNZ 6 also partner with conservation and environmental organisations, councils, businesses and schools to run hundreds of activities during the week. We will update our website over the coming months with ideas about what teachers can do in their classrooms and information about events you can take part in.

Before Conservation Week starts you can get inspired about our unique natural and historical places and species:

• Check out our getting involved in conservation group on Flickr to see people taking part in conservation.
• Try our at home activity ideas to get involved in conservation in your backyard.
• Learn about ongoing volunteer opportunities and conservation projects to get involved in your community.

TVNZ 6 is DOC’s partner for Conservation Week because their channel is a place where Kiwi families learn and explore the world around them together.
