The Southland Conservation Awards (the Awards) are held during Conservation Week as an opportunity to celebrate those who have shown they love Southland and want to protect it.

The presentation of these awards is an opportunity for the Department of Conservation to recognise the valuable contribution these businesses, individuals and organisations make to conservation in Southland. It's also an opportunity to raise the profile of what is being done in the community and to provide inspiration to others.

The evening would not be possible without the support of our sponsors who help to celebrate our 'conservation champions'. This involvement really reflects a commitment to Southland and a love of what makes this place we live in so special..
