The Canterbury Conservation Management Strategy (CMS) consultation has started again.
Conservation Management Strategy - He mahere rautaki hei tiaki te taiao mō ngā tupuranga whakaheke (a strategic plan to care for the environment for generations to come).
Conservation Management Strategies (CMS) will guide how DOC delivers its work over the next ten years. The CMS for Canterbury is being reviewed - so this is the best opportunity for you to have your say.
Where are we at?
In 2008-09 Canterbury made good progress with our review of the Canterbury CMS. We talked with many of you and included the results in our first draft.
But while other conservancies are steaming ahead with their reviews, Canterbury plans to take things slower as many of the communities we work with are still dealing with the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquakes.
