Volunteers working on the Okura Bush Walkway track

Come and join the Okura Bush Walkway maintenance crew.
The Okura Bush Walkway is a three hour return walk that winds its way along the Okura River Estuary and Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve, through coastal forest to Karepiro Bay and the historic Dacre Cottage.
This volunteer opportunity is available for groups of up to 15 people by arrangement.
You will help maintain the walking track, clearing drains and cutting back vegetation from the Haighs Access Road end.
What to expect

Fitness: Medium to high level of fitness required.
Experience: No special skills are required.
What to bring
Food: Morning tea, lunch, water,
Clothing/equipment: Sturdy footwear (that can get muddy), gloves, sunhat and sunscreen, raincoat.
Tools will be provided for you.
