This programme provides a chance to work with some of New Zealand’s rarest and endemic threatened flora and fauna in a spectacular environment.
This volunteer activity is finished for the 2016-17 season. We will be looking for volunteers from October 2017 to May 2018 and calling for applications from September onwards.
October 2017 - April 2018: Volunteer to raise awareness of appropriate wildlife viewing behaviour and conservation among Otago Peninsulas’ Sandfly Bay visitors.
6 - 20 November 2017: This is a rare opportunity for people to visit the isolated Auckland Islands and assist with yellow-eyed penguin/hoiho surveys.
