Introduction

Have you say on the Minister of Conservation's intention to grant a variation to the concession held by Tourism Milford Limited. Submissions closed 14 June 2017.

The Minister of Conservation gives notice of her intention to grant a variation to the concession OT-31008-GUI held by Tourism Milford Limited, under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987, to build, maintain and occupy a 74 m2 lunch shelter at Lake Howden in Fiordland National Park, for their guiding operation on the Routeburn and Greenstone Tracks. The expiry date of the variation will be 31 January 2033, which is the expiry date of the existing concession OT-31008-GUI.

Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General of Conservation against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including 5:00 pm 14 June 2017 and should be marked with the reference OT-31008-GUI.

Hearing

Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection, or submission, must request (in that objection/ submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General. If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur during the week of 26 June 2017.
