Introduction

Have your say on the Minister of Conservation's intention to grant a 5-year concession to Manawatu Marine Boating Club Incorporated at Foxton Harbour Improvements Reserve. Submissions close 15 February 2018.

The Minister of Conservation gives notice of her intention to grant a 5-year lease/licence concession under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987 to the Manawatu Marine Boating Club Incorporated. 

The proposed concession activity is ownership, occupation, maintenance and repair of infrastructure including a boat club building, boat ramp, wharf, picnic and BBQ area, carpark and boat wash down area, with exclusive occupation of the club building site and use of surrounding area on part of Foxton Harbour Improvements Reserve.

How to submit

Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including 15 February 2018.

Once submitted, submitters' information is subject to the Official Information Act 1982 and may be released under that Act. If you wish to keep any part of your submission confidential, you need to state this in writing when making your submission.

Hearing

Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection, or submission, must request (in that objection/submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General.

If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur in the week starting 26 February 2018.
