Kākāpō documentary

'The Unnatural History of the Kakapo' - a documentary about kākāpō by Elwin Productions

For all those interested in large green flightless parrots, (and following on from Sirocco's PR work with the BBC that's a lot), kākāpō now have their own feature-length documentary. It follows the Kākāpō Recovery Programme from 2006 - 2009, charting the team's efforts to improve fertility in the one and only breeding population.

The film will be available on DVD, and will be screening at the Documentary New Zealand Film Festival in Auckland and Wellington in February/March. A special screening is currently being planned for DOC in Dunedin in March.
