Rocks) Marine Reserve.
Organisations such as universities, Crown Research Initiatives, government agencies and individuals may conduct scientific reserach in marine reserves, provided they first obtain the neccessary approvals from the Director-General of Conservation and the Director-General of Fisheries.
Any monitoring carried out by the Department of Conservatino in the marine reserve will be focused on management issues such as the preservation and rehabilitation of the reserve's marine life and habitats, and the impacts of visitor use.
