Highlights:

Kia Wharite

This unique project, centred on the Whanganui National Park, is a partnership between Horizons Regional Council, DOC, landowners and iwi.

Egmont National Park

Egmont National Park can be found on the western coast of New Zealand's North Island. Here the volcano Taranaki (or Mt Egmont as it is also known) rules supreme.

Western Ruahine Forest Park

The Ruahine Forest Park consists of beautiful bush-covered ranges. Recreational opportunities include tramping, hunting, cross country skiing, snowboarding, rafting, kayaking, fishing, swimming and camping.
