Highlights:

Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park

Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park has a number of historic mining and kauri logging sites within its boundaries. The park also features several popular tramping tracks.

Tuhua (Mayor Island) Marine Reserve

Located offshore north of Tauranga, Tuhua (Mayor Island) Marine Reserve covers about three square nautical miles and five kilometres of coastline from Tumutu Point east to Turanganui Point.

Rotorua's geothermal treasures

Geysers, hot springs, mud pools, fumaroles, silica terraces and flats are some of the 1200 geothermal features that make up Rotorua's geothermal field.
