This report describes the findings of population monitoring surveys carried out over the summer of 2007/2008 on the Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound bottlenose dolphins in Fiordland.

Summary
Research has shown that the bottlenose dolphin population of Doubtful Sound is in decline. Monitoring of these dolphins, and those in neighbouring Dusky Sound was carried out over the summer of 2007/2008. The results from this study are described here in this report.
