Chatham Islands Conservation Board appointments

Associate Minister of Conservation Hon Kate Wilkinson today announced this year's appointments to the Chatham Islands Conservation Board.
"I'm pleased to announce the appointment of Vaughan Hill and the reappointment of Eileen Cameron, Celine Gregory-Hunt and Shirley King for a further three year term", Associate Minister said.
Vaughan Hill has a keen interest in conservation and is particularly passionate about engaging the youth of the Chathams in conservation.
Eileen Cameron has a long history in supporting conservation with sound understanding of flora and fauna on the Chatham Islands.
Shirley King brings sound knowledge of the indigenous culture of the Chatham Islands.
Celine Gregory-Hunt has a strong interest in conservation and community issues on Pitt Island.
"I am confident the make-up of the board represents a wide range of the Chatham Island local communities and will give sound advice to the Department of Conservation (DOC) on its policy and directions."
Ms Wilkinson thanked retiring board member Deborah Goomes for her effort and commitment during her time on the board.
